Helvetica Writing
Our favorite socially conscious slutty clothing line, American Apparel, has released a line of shirts in homage to Helvetica. I’ve always wanted to put on a pair of double D’s.

We are excited to announce that we now have a series of high quality silkscreen prints of our Obama poster available for purchase. The poster was designed by Hyperaktivist Deroy Peraza in February and has received considerable attention since them.
The limited edition prints (50 of each) are available in the following different color combinations:
PRINTS ARE ALL SOLD OUT:
A print of the poster was featured at the Manifest Hope exhibit in Denver and, at the end of October, will be part of a Hyperakt exhibition at Flux Laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland. The artwork for the poster was made available for free on our blog so it could be used to promote the Obama campaign by people everywhere. Due to popular demand, we have printed a limited run of 16″ x 24″ posters on a beautiful heavy stock for those of you who just want the poster delivered to your door. The poster is numbered and signed by Deroy Peraza. A big thank you to Clone Press in Seattle who did a wonderful job printing them. Profits from poster sales will be donated to the Obama campaign. Get ‘em while they last.
Found this amazing fan-created video for Goldfrapp’s Solar on the Coudal blog. Utterly beautiful.
In the much anticipated (as in, since her nomination) skit from snl, Tina Fey does a better Sarah Palin than Palin herself; right down to her crazy Pacific Northwest accent, the way she talks out the side of her face and the peagent-like style she waves her arms from her 3/4 sleeve jackets. Check out this clip, where Amy Poehler does the most kick-ass, no-holds-barred Hillary she’s ever done; as she urges the press to not frett asking the female candidate tough questions (’ask her about dinosaurs’) and invites the media to ‘grow a pair’.
Hugh Atkins, you are a genius. Matthew, thanks for the link. This is so good it hurts.

Okay, you know how to tell when the luxury toy industry has gone too far? When someone’s lucky little 8 year old is going to have a better ride than me! Actually, 11 miniature-sized classic-style cars were built to be showcased as part of RM’s Vintage Motor Cars of Hershey auction. I’m trying not to think of how sad they make the push-n-ride car I had growing up look. Crud, how sad they make my friggin beige Corolla look now! Damn. I may srping for that snazzy pink Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Check out more about these minature masterpieces on Hemmings Augo Blogs.

Hyperakt has been invited by Flux Laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland to show original works based on our Obama ‘Hope’ poster (as was featured at the Manifest Hope Exhibit for the DNC in Denver) created by us. The exhibit will take place from October 30th to November 17th, in their Dark Room space. Part of the exhibition will feature a range of work from Hyperakt over the years. We’re really excited; and have started pulling everything together to make the exhibit as memorable as possible!
