New York isn’t easy to pin down. For those who’ve seen too many Woody Allen movies and think you know what Manhattan is all about—or listened to a few too many 50 Cent albums and think you know how hard Brooklyn is—then this is for you.
Made In Queens is a film of a handful of kids, from Trinidad and Tobago, living in Queens. It is an insightful story into the raw diversity that makes New York wonderful.
So, there was a big hubub over at Comic Con over - well, a bunch of stuff really - but the internets (pesky tubes that they are) have been going into a tizzy over this new quasi trailer of Tron 2, a sequel to the beloved sci-fi/fantasy Tron.
Apparently, the trailer was kept somewhat of a secret and sprung on the unsuspecting sci-fi-loving attendees. Poor quality that it is, we’re still grateful someone in the audience had the clarity of mind to record this tantalizing bit of footage from what is being described as a sort of a promotional presentation to lure studio execs to produce the rest of the movie. As far as I can tell, having Jeff Bridges return (if that wasn’t part of the CGI effects) is not a bad way to start.
From the director of Helvetica, comes Objectified. Look out for it early 2009.
