Christopher Reardon

Chief of Content Production at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency
August 11, 2017

The psychic numbing begins as soon as you jump from one to two. Even talking about two people, you’ve already made it harder for the viewer to relate to your story.

Christopher Reardon is Chief of Content Production at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, he leads a team of 30+ multimedia storytellers, editors and social media managers on five continents. Together, they produce videos, photos, infographics and text stories aimed at building empathy for people fleeing violence and persecution. His team manages UNHCR’s leading web and social media channels and provides content to news organizations.

Before joining the UN, Reardon wrote about the arts and social justice for the New York Times, the Christian Science Monitor, the Village Voice and the Ford Foundation. He holds a Master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where he later spent a year as a mid-career fellow.
