The American Design Awards was established in the year 2000 in San Diego, California, to recognize and reward designers of all experience levels who display outstanding abilities and potential in the field of graphic and web design. The Monthly Design Contest is open to graphic and web designers from around the world who have designed inspiring, unique and creative web sites for either self-promotion or paying clients. The design pieces entered into this free event are graded by ADA's in-house panel of judges on the basis of originality, effectiveness, practicality, and marketability. Among 918 entries, Hyperakt.com tied for 6th place in the international competition.
