Joelle Woodson

A midwesterner and New Yorker at heart, Joelle grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, but graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. She dual majored in Sustainability Studies and Design, Innovation & Society--which brings together the best of social impact, product design, and environmental activism. As strategic planner at Hyperakt, she finds herself working at the intersection of many of her interests.

As an interdisciplinary designer, Joelle loves employing design research that gets to the heart of the problem in order to design products and solutions that address global and cultural challenges.

As a kid, she loved tinkering with toys, sports, theatre, people, academics, and the environment and not much has changed. When she's not working hard, you can find Joelle writing scripts, creating short films, auditioning for plays and catching up on her favorite TV shows. She now lives in Brooklyn where she enjoys yoga, walking, and people-watching.
