Megan Canning
Senior Strategist & Project Director
Megan is a communications strategist and visual artist with over 20 years of experience helping nonprofits and philanthropies find their voice and amplify their impact. At Hyperakt, she has led multi-year brand strategy engagements with The Annie E. Casey Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the American Medical Association—guiding clients through complex change with clarity, creativity, and care.
In addition to being part of the Hyperakt team, Megan is also the founder of The Constellation Collective, a strategy studio for mission-driven organizations. She previously served as Director of Communications & Special Projects at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, where she developed a comprehensive communications strategy, spearheaded partnerships with Skateroom, Warby Parker, and Tate Modern, and forged collaborations with the Obama White House and the BBC. Earlier, as Deputy Director of the Design Trust for Public Space, she led external communications strategy and oversaw a complete organizational rebrand.
Her career has been defined by bridging strategy and storytelling, forging partnerships that expand impact, and bringing an artist’s eye to the work of communications. Megan’s mix of analytical rigor and creative vision makes her a trusted advisor to leaders navigating moments of transformation.
